Today I am joined by Daniel Suarez, author of tech thrillers and near future Sci Fi. I learned about Daniel through his book Daemon, and was instantly hooked. Daniel’s ability to weave believable characters with white knuckle plots, sprinkled with a little bit of “what if” leaves you exhausted but satisfied at the end.
In this episode we talk about:
- How D&D made him want to be a storyteller
- His unusual path to becoming a novelist
- The real-life scenarios that prompted his stories
- How self-publishing launched his career
- Why he decided to leave a lucrative tech company to be a novelist
- and much more
