Today I am joined by Brenda Hiatt, a more than thirty year veteran of writing and publishing. Brenda and I talked about what got her started writing, how she broke into publishing, how genres in publishing have changed through the years, writing Regency, teaching the craft of writing, the odd requests publishers made for her to add to her books, writing YA, getting her rights back and publishing her older works as an indie, and much more.
About Brenda Hiatt:
Brenda Hiatt is the New York Times andUSA Today bestselling author of twenty-two novels (so far), including sweet and spicy historical romance, time travel romance, humorous mystery and, most recently, her young adult science fiction STARSTRUCK series. So far, she hasn’t been sorry! She is an active member of Romance Writers of America and Novelists, Inc, where she has served as president. In addition to writing, Brenda is passionate about embracing life to the fullest, to include scuba diving (she has over 60 dives to her credit), Taekwondo (where she recently attained her 3rd degree black belt), hiking, traveling…and reading, of course!
