Every house I grew up around had a porch, and every porch had a chair that was nobody's and everybody's. You sat down in it and somebody eventually came out with coffee. Nothing got decided out there. Plenty got said.
That is what this page is for.
I'll post here when there's a new book coming, and I'll tell you where to find it. Now and then I'll put up a story you can read right here, most of them from Weston, some from farther down the road. I'll write about the desk, too, the actual work of getting a book out of your head and onto paper, because I spend most of my afternoons talking with writers about exactly that. And when Abby and I get into something worth remembering on the Story Craft Café, I'll leave the notes here so you don't have to go hunting for them.
You don't have to sign up for anything to read it. If you'd rather I came to you, the list at the bottom of the home page is where that happens.
Pull up a chair. Somebody will be out with coffee directly.
